Hey Patreons!
The Crusader script is underway! I have a massive 271 A4 pages of research notes to wade through, totalling 91,733 words. Obviously that will be condensed by the time we get to the finished product, but this script will end up being the size of a small novel.
Which kinda explains why it isn't done yet!
I'm currently working my way through the script, and it's taking me ages to get through each day of the battle, with many contradictions, problems and possibilities to consider. For this reason, I still cannot give you a solid date yet for release, but I am confident this will be the biggest Battlestorm documentary to date.
Currently, at the release of this post, I'm just about to finish day 3 of the battle - so I'm averaging 1.5 days of the battle per day so far! But obviously, the first few days of the battle are the most intense, and the last say 30 days aren't as bad, so it should speed up soon.
Monday's video will be a short one on Revisionist Historians - which I hope, at the very least, will provoke a discussion. And Monday 11th will be a book review of the newly released Arnhem book by Beevor. What I didn't mention in the video, but I should have, is that Matrix/Slitherine contacted me and gave me some free games to try out (some of them were Close Combat games which I've already played). So starting next week, I'm going to do the odd extra gaming-related video. I've also been told I can even use their gaming footage in my documentaries, which might be interesting...
On another note, there was a video recently that referenced my channel, which was actually quite a good video (didn't know about it in advance either). "Germany Could Not Win WW2" by Potential History https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbim2kGwhpc I know a couple of you (including Jeff) told me about the video, but I already found it ;) Anyway, what do you guys think? Could Germany have won WW2 or not?
As I said in a previous update, I now spend my Saturday mornings replying to as many Patreons as I can, so expect some replies tomorrow :) and thank you all again as always for supporting. I say it over and over, but it's true, you guys are awesome!
Lewis
