May Suggestion Poll Theming + other stuff, probably

Howdy everyone, here to remind you that I am not in fact dead! I've just been swamped with work for college, so I haven't been able to keep up with art stuff very much lately. However, I'm pleased to announce that I've figured out a pretty good way of handling the monthly suggestion poll idea that several people proposed, it'll go something like this:

• 1. The theme is picked—a few days before the end of the month, I'll put out a post like this one with a general theme for the suggestion poll. These will be decided pretty far ahead of time so that I can steer things towards a direction I'm comfortable with. May's theme has already been selected, so read on to find out what it is.
• 2. Dump your character suggestions! In the comments section of each theme announcement, you all post one character of your choosing, so long as they're reasonably relevant to the theme of the month. Please include a link to some reference material of that character, it would really help us all out!
• Poll candidates are picked and voting begins! After the allotted time for character suggestions, four characters will be picked and added to a poll for you all to vote on. The voting period will last for a few days, so you'll all hopefully have time to cast your lot. At the end of the voting period, whichever character comes in first will be featured in a full rendered illustration (with the possibility of a consolation prize for second place, I haven't decided yet)

That being said, the theme for May's suggestion poll is "Princess," so go ahead and start suggesting characters! The initial suggestion period will last exactly two days from now, closing on May 1st at 12:00pm EST. Take it easy, everyone!
