- Miami Connection and DIY Kung Fu Movies: Back when Kung Fu film was all the rage, many actors and filmmakers saw it as an opportunity to cash-in. The result is a tsunami of uber low budget kung fu and colourful ninja movies. They are cheap. They are bad. And they are a lot of fun.
- Steven Seagal and His Orientalist Movies: I have no idea why he keeps getting casted in mid to low budget action movies co-funded by Chinese companies. it's not like the dude is famous in China, either. Anyway, in those movies, he fancies himself a Sifu of sort and often spouts some vaguely Chinese sounding dialogues. And I'm gonna tear right into it.
- Turkish Star Wars and Copyright Infringement: Have you ever thought about how the Turkish Star Wars movies were perceived in Turkey? Or that there is a Nigerian Titanic? Or South Korean Ninja Turtles? Just a few decades ago, it's rather common for movies to completely ignore copyright. And the result is often colourful. In a way, it's also healthier.
