[PAGE UPDATE] Launching Patreon
Added 2019-05-16 14:38:21 +0000 UTCPatreon announcement video is up! You can view it at my Patreon page or YouTube Channel.
I put some extra effort in this, hopefully it's still entertaining.
(*To clarify, this is not the extra video of this month.)
Now that this page is officially launched, I'll begin sending out patron rewards:
- Credits will be updated on every episode (Every 2 weeks, on Thursday)
- Extra video will be posted here by the end of every month
- Script previews are posted 1 weeks before the next episode.
I'm new to both this YouTube and Patreon shenanigans, so if there's anything I did wrong, or you have suggestions, please feel free to tell me.
Otherwise, thank you for being here!

2019-05-16 21:08:10 +0000 UTCๆจๅ ๏ผ I canโt tell you how excited I am knowing that a fellow Chinese like you are out there, letting the world learn more about Chinese cinema, this is something Iโve never encountered before in my years of watching video essays on YouTube. Iโve read your bio, and I feel like I can really relate to you in many aspects. I was born and raised in Kunming and later went on to Beijing for Bilingual education. Right now, Iโm taking a three year film program in Niagara College Canada in Ontario. My father was a documentarian/writer, I was inspired by him to pursue my passion in filmmaking. I hope youโre not bored by my uninvited ranting, Iโm just too excited that you are doing what youโre doing, you have no idea. I noticed your unconventional ways of translating Chinese ideologies into perfect, culturally relatable, and plain English. Unlike many conventional translators out there, I feel that your translation holds more precision. In the end, I guess I just wanna say, thank you for making this channel, I believe in your cause, and it was enlightening to find a kindred spirit.
