Comic Sketches EXTRAS!

Hey guys! This is less its own post and more just an addendum to the Oct-Dec one. I dug around a bit in our work server and found some odds and ends that I think could be fun to upload alongside the storyboards and panel sketches, so let's say this is a test drive for possible new BTS content! Let's dive in:

First off, here's some concept sketches of White Noise's true form and Af made by Heather! They are the indisputable master of everything animal and furry-adjacent. We love a good creature around here.

Quick little color key guide Xam made of Af in Jentha Mode. Ain't she cute?

These are some work-in-progress shots of Tyson's animated panels, which I always love seeing. Mere scribbles and yet they look so good already. (Disregard the weird colors in the second one, color profiles are your greatest enemy when you're exporting gifs.)

No thoughts. Just Af popping out of their little sunflower. Disney who?

This is the concept art for our flashback grubbies, designed by yours truly! Dismas and Murrit were pretty much beamed instantly into my brain, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them from the get go. Calder was played off of Murrit's design and fancied up a little, to reflect the admiration-crush he had on them for a while. Albion was the hardest to nail down for some reason, but I'm very fond of the athleisure look I ended up landing on.

Quick 'n dirty canteen color ref Ciro worked out. I really love all of the sharp angles and dynamic perspective here, it's such a cool concept piece! We were trying to invoke a McDonald's-esque nostalgic look, and I think the eye-searing color combo on top of it did a great job at conveying that good old repitonian cyberpunk-but-stuck-in-old-pop-culture-hell-forever vibe we all know and cherish.

Finally, some more animation WIPs from Tyson! God I love those pencil sketches. As you can see, he increased the impact of Dismas' little angry slam for the final version. We really wanted to convey the depths of his BABY RAGE.

And that should be all for the October - December updates, for real this time! I'm thinking about including stuff like this to the comic sketch posts from now on, because I Just Think They're Neat. How's that sound?
