Monthly Update: Train Trip Edition

Another end of month, another monthly update! My vacation ended and the bad thing about trying to have a long vacation is that things can fall apart at work when you are gone. Nothing major, just the usual putting out fires. Just annoying to get back to work at least somewhat relaxed and find chaos. Anyway, enough blogposting, let's get back into business.

Release 0.4 is coming when I can kick all things together, the script and other resources are just large and complex enough that even small changes need testing and checking notes and those notes are starting to be big enough to be published as a book. As things bet more complex, even small things need exponentially more work. Still, there is nothing big left anymore. It has been so long since the last release that all the routine tasks feel unfamiliar and the simple task of pressing the build-button and releasing the product feels like a gigantic wall, even though it probably shouldn't. Same with visuals, feels like I'm never really happy with the end product, it always feels like something could be done better. Still, I'll try to work that out and get back into some kind of regular publishing schedule, there is so much content ready now that I could just post every day for a year.

Like before, I'm not going to take any Patreon payments until 0.4 is out (I'll temporarily suspend my Patreon at the end of each month until then).

The rest of the post is mostly copy and paste from my previous updates for those who are new or want to be reminded of what will be coming next. See you in the next post, thanks for your support!

So, TL;DR:

* 0.4 will have Alice's storyline.

* Some new tech in 0.4: interactive 3D and pre-rendered movies, at least a few of each. When I get the pipeline (and my skills) working smoothly, next releases should have more.

* After 0.4 I will try out a bit faster release schedule with partial updates instead of releasing large, complete routes that take ages to finish. We'll see how it goes.

* Steam release at some point after 0.4 is out. Steam has been pretty random with adult games, so who knows what can happen.

A chef I once had told me “They are hungry and half drunk. They don’t know that you aren’t confident in the dish. Stop letting perfect get in the way of better than most.”

Though the task seems daunting and scary your fans and supporters are here for you. There is always something that could be made better nothing is ever perfect. But that's the fun part cause if you make an oops or need to tweak something you can. We as supporters will accept and give positive (I will and I'm sure many others will too) feedback and you and your team can go from there. Your game is good, fun and will continue to get better. Don't ever feel your releasing a bad update or it won't be accepted. Your doing great work and we love your game and dedication to giving us a game worth playing.

Hope you enjoyed your vacation. Its always annoying to go on break and think everything will be smooth when you get back. Then it becomes a bit of chaos.
