Don't get too excited yet, adding animations is not a number one priority at the moment! This one is an old animation test (it uses old-style shading etc.) that has been laying on my hard drive for some time. I'm not really an animation pro so it has some jerky movement, questionable shading and hair clipping, but it's a start.
So, what's the problem with animations? It can easily take 10-20 times more time to set up, rig and render an animation than an normal, static CG image. For example rendering a single CG image in Offcuts usually takes about 10-60 minutes, depending on the scene. A looping, very short 1 second (24 frames) animation could take a day to render. Adding any manual post processing work will increase this even more. And this is the best case, sometimes you have to redo the render if you notice any problems during the process.
Still, animations can liven up the otherwise static visuals, so adding them at some point is a real possibility.
