Comments

Agreed, Berto you're a great podcaster and storyteller!

Colette

I agree with Kirk at the end, you gotta do more of these, Berto! This was a great format between you two, thank you!

Diana Gibson

I'm really enjoying the role reversal and watching Kirk get absolutely blown away by this insanity.

Katy Ong

You're off to a great start, Berto! I especially loved Kirk's eyebrows going higher and higher as more information came out about the 'therapist'.

Julia Smith

Wow! I've been very caught up with uni recently so this is the first episode I've had the chance to watch soon after it's release and I am so excited! And also so shocked and horrified.. Loved the roleplay, Berto & Kirk!

Please, release the next chapter 😄!

Helen

16:10 I think his girlfriend was a former patient of his! EDIT: 26:30 lol

Dino

I'm loving this format with Berto unfolding the story!

Louise

"As I give you more information, you will find that you probably will not feel that you have too much in common with the thought process and practices of this specific therapist". I nearly fell off my seat laughing 😂. I want more Humberto-led deep dives!

Kirk really should watch the cross examination (at least) of Dr Oziel from when he testified as a witness in the first trial. It’s on YouTube and shouldn’t be copyrighted. It doesn’t go over all his ethically questionable decisions and behaviors, but it tells you some about how he respond when he has to answer these allegations. The way he explains it is interesting because he has to justify egregious ethical violations as though they were reasoned, clinical decisions. I can see why someone would find him persuasive (not in the trial, as a person). He presents with an unusual high level of confidence considering the circumstances. He doesn’t sound unaware or clumpsy in his testimony. (This next section is spoilers in terms of the way he explains it, without saying what he’s actually is saying) He weaves narratives where he’s always in control, always the reasonable one, even while describing outrageous breaches like the mistress example.

Heh

While definitely different in many regards, the angle of them going out and spending a lot of money reminds me a lot of the Rafay family murder where the son and his friend did much the same. Would be interesting to see you two also delve into that one!

YUS, new Kirkberto deep dive!!! Editing after listening to say the episode lived up to the hype in the original comment. The way Berto told the story bit by bit was diabolical. 😂

Anna

Oooooh!
