Personally, I think I'd be more worried/concerned about my therapist if they said they were taking a year off for personal reasons; if they said it was because of burnout that's easy to understand and implies that after they take some time off to recover, they'll be feeling better. Edit: of course everyone is different. I prefer explicit, specific explanations for things like this because I do poorly with ambiguity
