I’m from south Texas and our sushi here is sooo good but it’s definitely not sushi. My favorite growing is was breaded and wrapped with chicken and crab stick and cream cheese and avocado in the middle. When I moved I was so surprised that they didn’t serve breaded rolls in sushi restaurants. Also there are so many Mexican restaurants that also serve sushi.

Chicken Teriyaki! Dr. Kirk’s description of it threw me in to a frantic search for my local teriyaki place in L.A. Sad to say my favorite place in the valley closed down. Happy to say I discovered a new one close by and ordered a plate for pick up! Mind you- I had no intention of eating teriyaki for lunch today- till I listened to this episode. My how the mind works. Haha.
