Genuinely curious: why do you think do some people „like“ to self-diagnose and identify with a diagnosis, while on the same time (or despite of) being ashamed maybe?

But I do think that if an untrained therapist deals with a client with antisocial personality or psychopathy (or narcisism or BPD for that matter) and they don‘t recognize the disorder, that they could actually be manipulated by the client. And the client uses this to their advantage. I‘ve seen this before …
