I at least thought they'd mention Dr. Jacoby!?

56:18 C'mmon, it's not fair you guys didn't discuss the psychology of Twin Peaks and Fire Walk With Me cause Bertho didn't see it. Could you please do an episode on it?

Paesito Paez

The dumpster scene in Mulholland Dr does have a jump scare. The creature slides in and out of the screen and then the guy collapses. I believe that is the segue into the second act of the film (the "real" narrative). Anyway, that scene (and the monster) is hands down the scariest movie moment that I've experienced, and exactly like Berto described. Deeply unsettling and existential dread. I think it would be really cool if you did a review of this movie. There are so many themes related to psychopathology and relationships and trauma. I think that's why people feel connected to it. The story is grandiose but the experiences are all too human. Thanks as always! Great episode for us old people that like to reminisce about the good ole days of movie making.
