The Psychology of Diddy (Chapter 7)

Comments

Louis CK broke my heart as well. I'm a woman, and I always got a feeling from his material, and TV show that he was a good hearted guy. I tend to think fame and power corrupts people. You never know celebrities, that's for sure. I feel for the women who he preyed on. It sucks you can never truly relax around peers it seems like if you are a woman. Or children. Or anyone low on the food chain

I know I’m late, here. I just wanted to share that the Me Too movement was actually initially started in 2006 by Tarana Burke. I think it’s important to note this, because it was started by a Black woman who was working to help sexual assault survivors to heal - especially women of color, who are far less likely to be believed. It took very famous women to propel the movement forward, which was still effective and powerful and so, so important. Even for me! But I just think that it’s important to recognize the work that Black women are doing, which benefits white women, because it was already very important work. And if I’m correct, many of these famous women did acknowledge Tarana Burke at the time, but her name definitely got drowned out and placed into the background.

Awesome Deep Dive!

I really have to disagree with the point you made on apologizing, that if they were better at apologizing then we would be quicker to move past it. I think talk is cheap. And a good speaker, or someone who knows how to mask well enough, can make somebody sway their decisions. But it's not as sincere as it may come across, and I think that that's a dangerous thing to really put out there that if someone says that they're apologetic, then, in that case, it somehow lessens their actions because I feel at the end of the day, the actions is what actually speaks volumes

Kevin Spacey was cleared of all charges and been speaking about it for a couple of months now

Talk about Russell Brand when you have a chance please! Would love to hear what you have in your notes on this topic.

Jenny O

Very happy to hear that y’all feel ok to crack all kinds of jokes! The YouTube comments can definitely be a storm to reckon with in contrast to patreon.

Miranda Garza

These are excellent! I’d love to hear a series like this on Kody Brown when you finish the sister wives series.

DLTH

I'd be open to a 5 hour episode! I love to have you guys on while I play casual/cozy games.

Rachel

Aha, I didn't listen long enough, lol!

Charity Dixon

I am curious to know when you guys say a few times that this will definitely be a 3-4 hour chapter, when it's only an hour and fifteen minutes. Granted, that's enough time, just wondering if I'm missing something!
