I enjoy listening to y’all discuss music because it’s evident you’re both passionate about the subject. Great episode! I was a college DJ when Subpop exploded onto the scene. Not Subpop but we played the likes of Ween, Flat Duo Jets, and the Good Old Chicken Wire Gang Boys Band. I loved the 90’s so so much.

Awesome Deep Dive!

Lol, I just checked the end of the non-video version of this episode and realized that you have a music outro there

Really interesting episode! Kirk, would you consider putting a music outro on all of your episodes? I've really enjoyed those on the regular pod episodes (I listen on my bike a lot, so I'm not able to change to a different episode easily when the current episode ends). It's also quite relaxing after discussing a difficult topic.

A PIS and EDB video would be the most entertainingly enlightening event on YouTube ever!

DMX’s first major album was the second cassette tape I owned (first was Busta Rhymes).

“Daddy” is still used sexually, but nowadays is it also used to describe someone that’s extremely competent or extremely competent and attractive. It’s a playful way of expressing admiration. It can also be used for someone with power and authority (‘dad energy’), but it’s often less about admiration then. E.g everyone on lawtube knows what “Crash Daddy” is referred to. It’s a very competent accident reconstruction expert who testified during Karen Read trial. It’s about his skills and confidence more than look. Dr Phil on the other hand has also been called “daddy”, which is more a description of his somewhat authoritarian style and “stern but caring” tone. “Daddy” is said by both critics and admirers.

Heh

I read some of the victim accounts and felt sick to my stomach at this man’s actions. I’m convinced he is a total monster.
