I also think as people get older, they get more clear on the type of people they want to be around and will drop friendships that no longer work for them. The feedback they get from their friendship group is therefore more likely to be in line with their own values anyway.

2024-10-16 03:29:12 +0000 UTCI feel like younger people have a larger amount of consideration of their social group, they care more about their opinions than older people do. People grow up, grow apart, become more firm on their own values and the group doesn’t have as much sway. I feel like it’s sort of a gradient where people just care less about their friends’ opinions as they get older.

2024-10-15 17:18:41 +0000 UTCI know that it's definitely harder for people under 25. This may be a trick question.

2024-10-15 16:57:52 +0000 UTCOlder people tend to care less what other think, at least that’s been my experience as I’ve gotten older.

2024-10-15 16:04:34 +0000 UTCI would guess younger people are much more concerned with fitting in and following the “herd,” therefore having a difficult time resisting whatever their peers are doing.
