The Psychology of Elon Musk (Chapter 16 - Trans Downfall)

Comments

Commenting in March 2025- will you do an update to include what’s happening in the US and worldwide with Elon?

Mimi Musser

I learned a lesson today. I was reminded to keep my mouth shut until I know the whole story. Listen to hear and understand and then speak. I started typing a comment sort of dragging Berto halfway through the trans conversation. I was interrupted with the work I should have been doing instead of listening to podcasts, and then I came back and finished the episode without sanding my message. Honestly this has made me believe that people really are capable of change. If we would all approach people with different beliefs as kindly and rationally as Dr. H., we would stand a hell of a lot better chance of creating real change. Thank you both so much for what you do. It has never been more important and needed than it is now.

When I first started using social media I viewed it as I was taking responsibility for letting people know what's happening in the world. There was also an element of wanting people to think that I was smart because I knew what was happening in the world. I had brain fog from alcohol use disorder. I've heard that ambien can cause serious side effects. Maybe he is suffering from those side effects? Knowing that Elon is in alliance with project 2025 does present a different spin on his decision making process.

Commenting in 2025.. Let me just say wow! It seems like Elon is in the news so much these days. I wonder if you would continue the deep dive on him. Also no pressure just throwing it out to the universe haha.

I love how empathetic and nuanced you are in your analysis of people. Your quest to try to understand why people behave the way they do and to search for their potentially good sides raises hope for a better world.

I would love a follow up!

The Guardian just posted an article titled "Spare a sob for Don Jr – replaced in Daddy’s affections by Elon Musk" and I think a lot about this deep dive. Do you think Elon is looking for a father-figure in Trump? Trump's antics seem to coincide quite a bit with Elon's father. I can't believe how crazy the timing of the Elon deep dive was. Incredible work and scary times. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/nov/19/donald-trump-jr-elon-musk-nepo-baby-billionaire

I very much hope you will do a follow up in light of recent events involving Musk/Trump/Russia etc.

Julie Rudmann

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this deep dive. I feel like I’m becoming softer and gentler, not just in understanding Elon Musk but in how I approach people who share his traits. These episodes have made me more empathetic, even as I read about him in the news. Kirk and Berto, the work you’re doing in this world is so important—by listening to you, I’m learning to be a better person. Thank you. 🙏🏽

I wish we could have an “end episode” where we go over the psychology again, to just get a more conclusive summery of what we talked about (“tying the bag”)!

Heh

I really do hope Elon listens to this (completely) and takes it the right way. It might be the beacon he needs to bring him to the light side.
