Just wanted to add that in the discussion around seeing say adulterer or murderers as immoral vs homosexuality (or any difference from the heteronormative) as viewd in a similar way... it's very important to make the distinction that murder, adultery etc are choices being gay is not. It's the difference between condemning the actions of an individual, which they have the power to change and condemning the essence of who a person is which is immutable. It's a flase equivalency.

I’m so curious to know if this guy ended up becoming a therapist, and also if his opinions on the subject have changed.

Love this episode. Love the “disagreement” between Berto and Kirk even though you can tell they agree 90% but are trying to emphasize different points. At one point I literally laughed out loud at something Berto said, just because of how well and punchy it was put and I agreed.

FYI adulterers get killed in some Muslim countries - but only if they're women.

Interesting discussion! Loved this episode, thanks for re-uploading. :) The one thing I wish I could’ve said to Berto during this episode is that it’s not quite fair to compare adulterers to gay people mostly because adultery/cheating is a behavior by CHOICE whereas homosexuality is literally how someone is born. So judging someone for an inherent characteristic is far worse than judging them for a choice in behavior.
