The Psychology of Elon Musk - (Chapter 4 - The Rise)

Comments

Some notes. - I think he took loans for UPenn. His mother did not make much and worked multiple jobs . - his mother has a book , should check it out for some insight . Elon often witnessed his father beating his mother . His mother accuses the mother in law of manipulating Elon to stay with Errol after divorce . Errol would use expensive gifts to lure the children in a custody battle . Maye seemed overwhelmed and usually fed her children peanut butter sandwiches daily .

I don’t want to overgeneralize, but when you say “what else could Elon do. He didn’t have hobbies, he didn’t have social life. He didn’t have a very strong family life.” I can’t help but think that there are a lot of male executives in business or other high-prestige industries with similar profiles. Especially industries where you are expected to work long hours (tech, finance, law)
