The entitlement on the job was very relatable, ty Berto.

Heath

Gaming addiction might be annoying but compared to the alternatives like alcohol, drugs, and suicide, it's fine. Alcohol is the reason many of us trauma survivors are still alive. Restricting sales will not only make the black market come up again and dangerous brews being sold, DT will also kill alcoholics who are still in activity. Preventing trauma and making TIC cheaper than addictive substance is the only solution.

Does anyone know what Berto meant with "once I was at this job for 5 years..."? I thought he's always solved Scooby-Doo style mysteries for work.

Leila

This is unrelated to the topic, but a thought came to mind while listening. Is there any advice for someone who is trying to better themselves and change in noticeable ways, but the people in their lives make it uncomfortable by trying to keep that person in their box. I find that I get a lot of comments from those around me whenever I'm acting differently, and it makes it harder to change. Edit: I find that some people in my life will take offense when I explain myself, and think that I am saying that I'm better than them for making the choices I'm making (which is of course never my intention).

I need a definition of entitlement. Because it doesn’t seem like entitlement to be treated well at your job. But maybe I’m misunderstanding what exactly is being said. But isn’t that just wanting to be treated with basic respect?

Thank you for adressing the "parasocial frustration". It has actually helped me to process one pretty bad moment I had when listening to one of your episodes where you and Bob were answering my question and you both kinda misunderstood it. So I got super angry because I couldn't explain myself further. As a non-native English speaker (and honestly in my native language as well) I have sometimes a hard time explaining myslef so I know that I probably didn't word it well enough. So thank you for talking about it, now I don't feel as bad about myslef!
