My therapists office is using AI to transcribe our appointments. It was described to me as “medical grade AI”. My therapist said that it takes notes more aligned with what the association she’s registered with want to see vs the ones she takes.

I completely forgot I wrote that email! We are now a year and a half further and I did develop long covid. It's kinda wild to think back to when I wrote that email because I got so much more sick after that. Especially the first half a year was really rough. I'm not as bad as back then, but my life did completely change. I spend most of my time in bed, can't really walk or stand for longer than a few minutes, and deal with many symptoms every day. Spending time with loved ones and just taking it day by day is important to me too. When I was at my worst I often couldn't even handle someone sitting in my room to have a conversation with me, or playing a simple card game, or listening to a podcast. I spend so many days just laying in bed in the dark by myself and that was really lonely. I still have to spend a lot of time resting by myself, but little moments with friends and family and having some connection with the world through the internet definitely helps. I also have to be careful not to go down health anxiety rabbit holes and try not to go on reddit at 3 am 😅

There are already ai on people. :) I do wonder what a Dr. Honda ai would be like. For a while I did have a support ai, I would say something like "I am feeling sad right now. But I need to wash my dishes" then it would give me a small peptalk and provide me with a CBT exercise/steps on how to get started. I stopped using it because I didn't need it anymore. But that technology does exist to the public for free at the moment.

There’s a Startrek Next Generation episode where Gordy creates an AI replica of the engine designer. It’s really interesting. Episode 306. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=18VVF4vWUj8

people arguing about the english language is hilarious to me. it's a mess of a language that changes all the time and saying a word is made up... all of them are haha

Greetings PIS fans, Re email #1 Springsteen is another great example of an artist with a very traumatic childhood who's drive for stardom is and was rooted in his need for attention. Anecdotally, many years ago I was in group therapy and we had a group member who was an aspiring comic and in group he presented essentially like a child who was desperate for attention and validation. It was a very difficult experience.
