In the Shade (steps)
Added 2023-07-16 09:29:54 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned earlier, I had done this to try to test another way to do shading, inspired by Evan sharing her steps to the Eggman cover for the IDW Volume 4 collection. I have no idea if I did it โcorrectlyโ but in the end, though I like the result, I donโt think Iโll try this again (at least not anytime soon).
Anyway, here are the steps!

Now the flat colors
Now, the new technique which is basically a โmonochromeโ shading layer, again, no sure I did it rightโฆ this layer is set to โmultiplyโ
Which was then laid over the flats
And then more flourishes added for the final, some highlights, grass, eye highlights, color blocked some lines, etc. This might be good for interiors but Iโll have to work at it more before I like it for more detailed stuff like prints or covers. I still dig it tho and I hope you do too :)
