You talk about a former client of yours around the 19:05 mark. I’m curious if the ER assigned your client with bipolar & gave them Lithium, not as an official diagnosis. But based on the symptoms presented, Lithium will inhibit the chances of harm/make the client no longer an ER issue, and hopefully tide them over until their next appt with you. But I don’t know the pros/cons of lithium. But it may have been the ER patch up to stable option, then get back to a specialist asap. Just my thoughts.

I absolutely love your podcast and all of your hard work to call out misogyny when you see it, but this, coupled with the Love is Blind episode's, to me signifies an inherent bias on your part, which slightly sides you with "bros" though you may not realize it, in albeit subtle ways.

I was uncomfortable with Gadd's representation of relationship dynamics by the end of the second episode and stopped watching the series. I have to be honest, I detect a strong patriarchal bias in how this whole situation is being represented, regardless of how Harvey is in real life. This article confirms my suspicions, where a woman who worked at the bar in question alongside Gadd has claimed that he and the men targeted Harvey, as what they percieved to be an emotionally vulnerable woman, and made her the deliberate butt of their jokes and misogyny, afterwhich he presented himself as victim for self gain: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13430191/Barmaid-worked-Baby-Reindeers-Richard-Gadd-Hawley-Arms-says-stalker-Fiona-Harvey-targeted-joke-pub-staff-enjoyed-misogynistic-culture-fuelled-drug-taking-alcohol-promiscuousness.html

Just a thought on the “bipolar” interpretation of Martha. I could see people leaning that way because she does seem manic while she’s speaking to him, but has the moment where she sorta seems to go catatonic at the bus station. Definitely agree on the personality disorder take but I could see how folks would see bipolar in those few scenes

Kirk I thought you might find this interesting, a British forensic psychiatrist’s take on it.

My impression is that RG is kind of a fringe-comedian. I doubt a non-mainstream comedian, making such a dark series would expect such a success. But what do I know.

The frenzy over this show is getting out of hand over here in the UK. Recently, a nightclub announced that Fiona Harvey was going to appear for a meet and greet! It was cancelled, though, and I think it was a hoax. People are continuing to speculate and gossip about Fiona and where the truth lies. Richard Gadd has said he never wanted the real people to be found, the show "exists in a fictional realm" and he is probably never going to comment on it again. I do wonder if he had any idea it would get this big and how he feels about it. Obviously, Netflix is cashing in on all this attention, but is this what he wanted? Love hearing your takes, Kirk. On YouTube, it was suggested that you should have Richard Gadd on your show, which would be amazing! But probably unlikely considering he doesn't want to comment on it anymore.
