It’s TOUGH! Contrary to popular belief, recent research has investigated the notion that our executive function continues to mature through our mid-20s. The researchers analyzed data from over 10k participants and found that executive functions develop rapidly from 10-15 and then stabilize at 18-20 with only minor improvements after that.
