TToB: People who are extroverted or agreeable have fewer nightmares. Tough or Bluff???

Comments

Only based on my experience I would say BLUFF. I am very extroverted and agreeable, i was a very happy kid but always had a big problem with nightmares and sleep. As a very small child it felt like i had two lives. The happy daytime and the terrifying night time. Maybe i had too much imagination? I dont know, but it was always a huge broblem for me even to this day.

Tom Noy

When agreeableness is defined as being compassionate and trusting, then it makes sense to have fewer nightmares. When I read agreeableness I thought of people conforming to other people's desires, perhaps betraying themselves at times. But if you're trusting you probably have less fear to process that would come out in dreams.

It’s TOUGH! Researchers found that participants with more extroversion (outgoing and sociable) and those with more agreeableness (compassionate, cooperative, and trusting) reported having fewer nightmares. I wonder why? (DOI: 10.1037/drm0000235)
