I wanted to say bluff because I was considering a longer period than 60 years, but then I thought about 60 years ago... Which was 1960s... I think the nuclear way of life was in full swing then. But I am speculating because the 1950s seemed so. I think we are starting to revert away from nuclear way of life out of necessity though. For economic reasons I foresee this happening. Families seem to be needing more of a community style of being, so I am assuming this will leak over into the workplace too. Or maybe I have it all wrong. I never leave my house actually. LOL

Tough. I'm thinking that 60 years ago most US adults grew up in a country in which legal segregation by race was normal, along with other norms that did not encourage cooperation with people considered strangers. So yeah, it makes sense we are slightly better at cooperating now.
