Added 2023-06-03 19:33:40 +0000 UTCHere's a preview of a project that's been cooking for a while now. I first got the idea back in 2019 to create a print that turned Atmus into the subject of a shooting range poster.
The subject of mass shootings and american gun culture has been a long running fear/fixation of mine. I think Atmus makes a useful subject for this idea, crossing the idea of the hunted deer and the hunted queer subject.
This image is the final design, which is currently being burned into a set of 3 screens, I've got plans to print them this coming week with help from a local screen printer.
I'll be sharing process images of the screenprinting, as well as sketches of the artwork that lead to the final design, in coming posts.
