Definitely one of the few better episode of this era. Still not perfect though as there are still some issues I have with this episode which includes some of the direction in line deliveries (a few retakes with line deliveries could have benefited particularly with the gang encountering prem) and lack of people present in the scenario (as I feel like that could really help sell the tension more as it's too empty for my liking) but they make up for it with the location and conflict between Prem and his brother. Those scenes really hit hard along with the wedding scene and the stag nights which sell the hatred taking over Prem's brother as well as Graham telling Prem that they should strive to be good men. Wish Yaz was a bit more involved but that scene with her nan at the end was lovely. It definitely did certain things better than Rosa but it also still has a few issues that elevate it from being stronger than it could have been. Still a good one though. Definitely hit the emotions right.

2025-08-05 17:21:13 +0000 UTCClassic Who in the 60s had purely historically set episodes with no alien or supernatural force. Although I do like the scifi element in historical episodes of today, it would be cool to see more episodes dealing purely with the time period that the Doctor is in.
