Weekly update - March 21st

Hi Folks,

Happy spring for people in the north Northern Hemisphere. I think it's a barmy -7c here this morning, to celebrate the first day of the make believe thing that is a Calgary spring :)

It's been a really productive week for me on Best Friends. I'm so happy with how much I've been able to get done and the general quality of the chapter right now. I'm putting the final touches to a huge scene as I write this, while working also on a couple of significant scenes at the same time. After they are complete I will be down to the last 7 scenes. Only 1 perhaps 2 of these scenes I would class as major effort scenes. I'm therefore happy to estimate the complete Chapter 7 to be out no later than April 10, and that's a complete worst case scenario.

Away from development I've been getting ready for the Steam launch, which will happen on Monday. I sent that reminder out to you all to please help me out by wish listing Best Friends. Chapter 6 is still available for purchase too on Itch.

As I wind down close to the end of Best Friends development, I've also been thinking a lot of what happens when the story is complete. A rough estimate for that would be July 2025, I think. I have a couple of other projects specced out, they will be different to BF. I'll announce the one I will focus on next once BF is complete. For you Patreons who have supported me so fantastically through the development, I do want to do something exclusive though. My plan is to put a poll out to all supporters and let you pick a side character you would like to see a little more of :P And put them in a scene. I will deliver that in an adult comic style (like Great Hire), as it would be off shoot of the main storyline. I'll do this post game complete. I also want to get back to Great Hire at some point, I know I've neglected that while I have focused on BF, the bulk of the script for Great Hire was done long ago. Finally I will also probably have some downtime as I go through some personal upheaval in my life this summer. If I'm not planning any content delivery for a while, I will let you all know, so you can pause your support, I would just ask you to stay in touch as any downtime will not be long and I'm really excited for the projects to come.
