For Sale button
Added 2025-02-12 23:18:26 +0000 UTCJust a quick note. Patreon have introduced a new feature where you can just pay for a single post.
Use case for here would be one of the chapter uploads.
Those posts have a button on them called "For Sale", press that if you want to buy that post but are not on the support tier for it. So for example if you are a free member and just wanted to buy Chapter 1-5, click on the "For Sale" button for that post.
Note here that all my downloads feature all chapters up to the point of the title of the post, you do not need to buy chapter 5 if you are buying chapter 6 as it is already included.
Do not click on this new "For Sale" button if you are already on the tier that this post covers, hopefully Patreon is smart enough to work that out but you never know.

From what I understand the way it's supposed to work is for locked posts like the chapter download ones that you can pay a one off sum to unlock it, and keep that unlock forever. As a creator, you can set the price yourself. I've set it to the same price as the tier that post comes from, so for example the chapter 6 download post costs $10 and the chapter 5 one costs $5. In terms of MacOS, I'm from a PC background, built my first PC back in the early 90's (486 dx33), I'm therefore conditioned to believe all apple stuff is over priced locked down stuff, so outside a work phone I do not own any Apple devices. I can't therefore test the distributions, I assume everything works fine, let me know though if you have any issues with any build.

2025-02-13 00:45:18 +0000 UTCHopefully, the dev posts the price and by paying it, you are guaranteed to be able to DL it. One issue I have is that with my MacOS, I must have a MacOS DL, and for an unfixable issue (AFAIK) if the file is >= 2.0GB from MEGA, I cannot get that DL to work.
