Fallout 76 Review Release | Channel Update Mar & Apr 2023

Fallout 76 Review (2023) | Uncensored Cut

https://youtu.be/r3C2fzxdUyw

Hey everyone, sorry for the bit of radio silence, but I wanted this channel update to be accompanied with something.

So first: your memberships’ gonna be paying dividends on this release. I’m linking an unlisted version of the Fallout 76 review with this post for your viewing pleasure. It’s the full thing, uncensored swears and all waaaay ahead of the public release. As of now I’m not sure when or even in what form this video will be getting released to the public—Pat and I are still working that out while he finishes his video. Rather than sitting on a finished video for a few more weeks, I’ve decided to go ahead and give you all the full thing, so enjoy. It’s also unmonetized and ad-free.

I’m considering this a freebie despite it’s long runtime because I’ve been saying Skyrim Part 3 is the next major release. So no credits on this one: if you’ve subbed any time since the last Skyrim video, you’ll be seeing your name in the credits of Skyrim Part 3.

This is my first collaboration with another YTer, which turned out to be way more involved than either of us anticipated. To put things into perspective, this video took as long to produce as the Skyrim Mage video and the Skyrim Warrior video ~500 man hours each. This is not including the 3-day road trip Pat and I took to West Virginia to research the setting of the game... It’s a long story, you’ll hear about it in the map section of the video.

This video required several changes to how I make videos due to the sheer amount of footage our recordings produced. This was also coupled with some major hardware and software upgrades to my workflow. As well, this is my first proper “review” on this channel, though it’s pretty much the same style and format as my last few videos (I had more radical plans before I started writing but as I wrote those ideas didn’t pan out.) Still, it’s “shorter” runtime, the nature of 76, my desire to capture certain aspects of our playthrough, and this being a collaboration in retrospect made this by far the most complex project I’ve ever worked on. I wasn’t prepared for that, which resulted in this taking longer to get out.

As a result, everything I had going on prior to coming back from West Virgina got completely derailed. Morrowind is on the backburner as none of the playthroughs are finished yet and we’re halfway into April and I gotta get the jump on Skyrim part 3. Most likely I’m going with the original plan of a dedicated DLC video for Skyrim for several reasons, but mostly it will let me get the big juicy topics like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood out there asap for people. Maybe Dawnguard will get thrown in with the third video if the runtime comes up short, but we got A LOT of Daedra stuff to go through, so we’ll see.

We now have a release date for Starfield: my goal was to have Skyrim completely wrapped up when Starfield launched. September is a lot closer than I’m comfortable with, which is another reason splitting Skyim’s DLC into it’s own video might be the best play.

I have some other small (30-60 minute) projects I really want to work on related to games I enjoy. I’ll have to see how Skyrim Part 3 production goes. I have some ideas for playing a few stealth games for the sake of comparison to Skyrim’s stealth elements: most of them are quickies, but MGSV… I might end up playing them on stream because I want to start doing those more regularly. I also have a few Skyrim streams that will be happening—the ones I did for the warrior video worked out extremely well for the video and in their own rights. It only makes sense I do some more for this one.

I’m wary of making any promises, and I’m definitely not making any commitments to dates. I got a timeline in my head, but that’s about it. It’s all going to come down to how easy/difficult the script writing for Skyrim part 3 turns out to be.

That’s it for now. As always, I appreciate the support. Enjoy the 76 video, and hopefully I’ll have more stuff soon.

<3 P.S.
