POV: You own a Homunculus

In the world of Laurentia, Homunculi or "Artificial Beings" have rendered slavery obsolete... almost. While their lack of autonomy make them ideal for dumb labor, the homuculus is difficult to produce on a large scale, difficult to maintain and can easily turn rampant if the creator doesn't exercise proper caution in handling their flesh automatons. Oh, and they tend to be quite monstrous looking, lack emotions as well as sexual organs and can crush you to death with one hand, so using them as sex slaves would be tantamount to suicide. 

    Fernie, however, is a one-of-a-kind Homunculus. A created by a forgetful wizard who has a mastery of alchemy and arcane theory, the two critical aspects of homunculus creation, Fernie is centuries more advanced than any homunculi created before her. Though there is one more reason for Fernie's uniqueness, and that is the fact that her creator incorporated unearthed alchemic methods left behind by the Radiant Ones. Originally used as spies and assassins during their doomed war against Kjerulf Frostfist, the Radiant Ones had mastered the art of creating artificial life and their homunculi were so advanced that for a time, many debated whether or not most of the kingdoms today were descendants of humans or highly advanced homunculi created by the Radiant Ones. After all, if you only caught a glimpse of Fernie walking down a street, you wouldn't know that she was an artificial human. 

    But, as people as piece together more of the mysteries left behind by the Radiant ones, it became clearer that the Kingdoms of Man were not the artificial creations of the Radiant Ones. For as lifelike as Radiant One homunculi were and could be, they could not recreate emotions and still lacked a soul, which is also what makes Fernie oh so unique. When the wizard created Fernie's body, he also found out he could give her a "pseudo-soul" in form of a tamed fire spirit. Several texts he had uncovered from expeditions to the ruins of the Radiant Ones had been dedication to the subject of "installing" a soul within a homunculus, however none of the Radiant Ones were able to test this theory before their ultimate destruction at the hands of the Frostfist. A thousand years later, the Wizard able to prove that Radiant Ones were correct. 

    However, trapping a fire spirit within an artificial body means that Fernie has advanced pyromancy abilities... abilities that the Wizard still hasn't taught her to tame. Which means there are times that Fernie loses control to the point to that not even the limiters her Master installed (Her choker and anklets) can keep them in line. Which leads to her ruining parts of the Wizard's Tower. However, Fernie quickly found out that her Master can't stay mad at her when she dons the maid uniform that he got for her. However, she's working tirelessly to get her powers under control to make her master happy, since a homunculus is only happy when her master is happy.
