It's the oops a bit late weekly update!
Added 2020-02-05 13:26:05 +0000 UTCHi all,
Sorry running a few days late this week as I wrestled to finish a few things off, tweak a few things and chase a few things up.
So, last week I said I wanted to bed down all the clickable scenes. You may have wondered (and I certainly didn't explain! oops!) why I wanted to tackle this next. Well, as well as being a nice fun bit for me, it also allowed me to test the locations a bit. Although they all looked good etc, did they work from a game play perspective. Thankfully, they did (more or less of which more later) but it took me a little longer to add in additional details than I expected. One of the snags about customising my assets used (and almost every asset is customised) is that it can take a little time to fully flesh out rooms. So for example posters etc all need rendering, text adding etc; book covers need to be relevant and so on.
Anyhoo! All done.
One significant change that I have made was to "Sarah's room" where the location just wasn't quite working right and so that room type (with some variation it's also the type of room used by Chris and Kelly later too) underwent some changes. Bunk beds went out, new cupboards added and the floor amended and so on.

(God, that woman is such a messy slut...)
I also rejigged Amanda's room (with some variation it's also the same type used by Marcus and Trisha) as the one I had I was unhappy with.

Rank has it's privileges...
So now it's just render like a fury :) At a guess I think it'll take me about two weeks. It would be lovely to have it out in times for Valentines day and I'll -try- for that but that would be at the optimistic end of the time scale. Still, we'll see.
Oh! One other thing. I couldn't crack how to do the lottery draw for character models anonymously so I've wrote to the company direct to see if they would operate a voucher type system. So any delivery would be between you and them with me paying for the voucher. I'll let you know what they say as, not only do I want to backdate this back to October, but think it would be rather nice to have it as an ongoing monthly thing if we can get our ducks in a row on this.
Laters!
