CH1009 Delair's Perspective

Comments

I hope they realize that not having a button on the other side of the portal is a design flaw.

RageScholar

Sadly, the button was too new and no one had ever practiced with it. There’s a reason we have fire etc. drills - you need to know the ORDER of things to do when an emergency happens and the panic hits. And you need that order practiced enough that the first critical steps are automatic.

Thanks for the chapter! I'd love to see how ben looks from a different pov when he approaches/climbs the wall. Dude was flying and killing stuff like a bat out of hell, gonna make for a heck of a sight.

Its such a light charm that Delair hardly noticed till she was closer, got broke out of it so easily, and no adults seem to have been snared by it, so I don't think the slight charm goin on has anything to do with the attack. Im more leanin towards the demi-God child panicing *after* the attack had started and losing control of her charm/powers and then even while weak was enough to make the mindless demons want to swarm to her first which is why the Sirens could not properly retreat like the villagers. If it was the *cause* of the attack, I would have expected the whole village to feel the charm before the demons arrived.

Everything else aside, Delair without a doubt already saved plenty of lifes here. Cause nobody else was pushing the damn "annoy Miriad button".

'Unactivated, she pressed down on the button left in her home, releasing the time enchantment it held to free those countless souls within to scream out to Ben’s god' Ah, I'd forgotten about that part XD Thank you for the chapter :D

So the charm was active? What happened there?

I agree that Delair will probably get a lot of experience from this, applying what she knows to combat, but I think it’s more that she will apply her massive knowledge base, various magics, and crafting abilities to combat after only using her skills peacefully for so long, the variety and extra strain pushing her to awaken

I have a feeling Ben is going to have Delair blitz through jobs by having her make him tools to fight. It would be the quickest way to add to their current combat power, as she's the most primed for growth (his previous training of her ensures that, she should have a long list of low-level jobs to take, as well as 1st tier skills that could easily level). On top of that, it'd vastly enhance her survivability in the 3r wave and beyond. It's a cold calculus, making her practically a child soldier by proxy (I don't think he'd have her directly killing demons) but I think it's one he would make (Ben is a morally grey character fs). He should be able to find a way to protect her from the weeping if she's not killing directly but just making the tools to do so, otherwise other crafters would've been hit with the weeping HARD a long time ago, and he should be feeling it constantly (that might actually be the case though, we know it would not affect him that much).
