I can imagine the gods now wanting Ben to make cities like this with gates all over the world for refugees, and Ben getting so annoyed at their low price but wanting to help people he just builds the cities with massive statues of Myriad in the centre except for in areas belonging to gods he likes, with all the desperate people looking for salvation he'd earn Myriad a lot of faith

2026-01-12 12:51:53 +0000 UTCI'm still mad he hasn't gotten any titles for the soul modifications he did to the world. He gave out trillions of stat points and he doesn't get something like "Great Empowerer" or something. But he has the Great teacher after helping a few people awaken?

2026-01-12 03:09:58 +0000 UTC'wanted somewhere to worship that he personally shaped statues of each god for, even if he let his favouritism slip through in some designs more than others.' >:) Pots, pans, plates, cutlery, furniture, pipes, and more. :o 'enough of that same reading material to fill a library as he both recreated some of what he’d read as we well as created his own copies of his various educational books, piling them up around him' :o 'Both features alone would be enough to make that other city froth with envy, yet that wasn’t where he was going to stop as, once that too was completed, his next project began.' >:) 'He was going to build the city a gate.' >:) "with much of what he’d produced to get the coming townsfolk starting bearing the now traditional line" *coming townsfolk started bearing the Mmmmm advertising Thank you for the chapter :D

2026-01-12 03:08:01 +0000 UTCExcept... there is no under-city, just a swamp. Probably habitable, given the airflow and wild biologies on this world, but not an under-city. Yet. And that eventuality is more dependent on who runs the city and how.

2026-01-12 01:52:04 +0000 UTCI mean... that would make for a highly readable chapter, but... not gonna go so well for Mr. Mayor.

2026-01-12 01:49:14 +0000 UTCThanks for the chapter! Ben is definitely doing some god like deeds of late and I am so here for it.

2026-01-11 22:39:23 +0000 UTCIt would be funny when he shows them the city they get to live in if he gets the benevolent god title.

2026-01-11 22:22:31 +0000 UTCHoles should be no more dangerous than most modern bridges over rivers - after a certain point, the height of your fall isn’t going to be doing any difference in your survivability. Put appropriate barriers around them so only people trying to are doing to be in any danger in normal circumstances.

2026-01-11 22:19:34 +0000 UTCNo need but pettiness. They were promised premium rooms with staff, they’re getting premium rooms with other people responsible for upkeep.

2026-01-11 22:16:01 +0000 UTCHaving holes on a floating platform seems like a poor idea. Also, what about earthquakes? Are the pillars indestructible, as it seams like the wave could destroy it. For his goals, I think it would have been smarter to have the actual city float via magic/ magnetism. He could probably figure out how to dig one underground or something.

2026-01-11 22:06:13 +0000 UTCThe whole concept behind that is taking energy from an existing star, he could probably build a megastructure in space without outside energy costs with the non-entropic mana and materializers. But with that star that produced death attributed mana it does raise the question if he can harness that sort of loop to get access to all the magic materials without having to bother jake every time, not that he needs a star for anything his unambitious self could think of.

2026-01-11 22:01:16 +0000 UTCNo need to return to the other city to sleep, after building an entire city surely theres an open room to rest in.

2026-01-11 21:34:05 +0000 UTCSoooo when can Ben build a Dyson sphere? That is T4 god right there!

2026-01-11 21:25:49 +0000 UTCBen going back to basics with overdoing things and getting titles through overwhelming power, skill, and spite.

2026-01-11 21:08:54 +0000 UTCNice one. Ben getting a new title and all. While I can infer from the gate network that trade would take place. Are they going to sustain themselves via the swamp ? Are there like green houses or Materializers Ben built for good supplies ?
SacredSteel
2026-01-11 20:52:50 +0000 UTCIt is a far more impressive feat to build around the swamp while still maintaining a high quality city. Everybody can drain a swamp. It is far more difficult to build around it an come to the same result.

2026-01-11 20:32:38 +0000 UTCBasically built Midgar, I'm sure that won't lead to any class strife between the plate dwellers and the residents of the under-city.

2026-01-11 20:20:31 +0000 UTCWell, that was cool even if I do kind of wish, he destroyed the swamp and fix any issues that that would've caused just because how impressive feat like that would've been
