Need Each Other (Bridge)

Here's potentially one of smoothest parts we've got. It's kind of like 2 in one. The first part being the low palm muted single notes, the second being the jazzy chords on top. In the studio I tracked either part on different takes/guitars to make the mix sound more interesting, but for a performance I think it sounds great playing both parts together.

Let's look at the low riff to begin. It's basically this bluesy chromatic thing that happens 3 times. On the 4th time there's finally some variation. The rhythm should sound menancing and slightly swung to give it a bit of sassiness.

The chords in between follow the following basic chord root movement - B, C, G, C
The first time around I play Bm7, Cdim, Gmaj7, C7#11
The second and third time around I play Bm9, Cm6/9, Gmaj7, C13.
I honestly don't know why all the chords work but they sound cool. Sometimes when going for that smooth neo-soul vibe, anything works and the more jarring the better!

If you listen to the studio recording, you'll hear the chords have a cool quivery vibrato on them. I believe that was a boss chorus pedal. But in this video I used my whammy bar instead to make the chords a little more 3D. Different effects, but both cool in their own way.
