Our 4 Fathers (A Section)

Trying out a new format - hope you like it! I'm going to verbally breaking things down like this for the next series of videos so you can all relax to the soothing sound of my harsh metallic robot voice.

TAB is attached. Drop any comments or technical questions down below. If I'm missing anything in this verbal description that you are curious to know (like, what's the name of that chord?) I'll be happy to answer.

Enjoy!

I'm really liking the new format! And not just because the video is longer :P

Wow, echoing everyone else, the new format is very helpful.

I'm actually not sure, but it definitely sounds like one.

New format is great! Love the riff and the commentary. Hoping that the music theory can also be incorporated with it as well as the technique going forward.

This song has gotten me through so many road trip miles, I love it! (I miss travelling so much.) Enjoying the new format, and I can always just take notes. Do you know if the percussion instrument right after this section is a vibraslap? I've always wondered.

Krissy

Agreed! It's because I'm using a condenser microphone instead of a wireless headset mic. Unfortunately (at least for the time being and without spending serious $$$), the bad quality wireless microphone is the only way I can move around and talk, and not have the microphone pick up other people in the room and apply a metallic effect to them as well.

Don't know if you did something with your voice, but it sounds a lot clearer here than in The TWRP Show and the solo videos. If you did do something with it, please keep it this way, it's a lot easier to understand

The new format is great! I’m gonna have to listen to some more Michael McDonald today. Get in some of those good vibes!

Love the new format!

Glad to hear that! I'm also much happier doing it this way!

Oh I love this new format! It immediately makes the riff feel more approachable, and the breakdown is very much appreciated :) Thanks for the lesson, teach, have a good one!

Nice! This is my favorite instrumental you guys have done! Also, I like this format - I learn best by hearing people say things so this is a nice change for me, personally!
