Hello, Phobo-punks. More chonkiness this week. Take off your sleeves and get ready to rock out on this one.
TAB is attached as a PDF and Guitar Pro file.
...
The chords are as follows:
G minor - A diminished - Bb major - C major
G minor - A diminished - Bb major - C major - A major/C# - D major
Clearly there's a lot of information here - but sometimes as a guitar player you don't want to think about these details, you just want to be a punk and rock out. Because of this, you're only going to play the lowest notes of each chord, and it's going to sound extra rock n roll. So for the G minor, we're palm muting the note G. For the A diminished, we're palm muting the A. You don't give a damn about the rest of those stinkin' chords.
Also, you're going to palm mute this riff because you know it will sound extra menacing this way. You're only going to use downstrokes too, because then you have gravity at your side making the notes sound extra consistent and tuff.
In the middle of bar 2 and 6, there's some hammer ons thrown in to spice it up. You'll lift the palm mute here to emphasize these, because that's going to sound pretty badass.
Towards the end at bar 9, you'll start lifting your palm on beats 2 and 4 and playing 2 note power chords, to really start building up the intensity. This is to let the listener know that you're not messing around, and you're willing to put it all on the line.
...
That's the part in a nutshell. Good luck with this, and I'm going to say this one more time: please do not wear sleeves when practicing this. Drop any questions or comments below.
Thanks!
