Important update

Hello everyone. Today I want to talk about multiple things and update you all with my plans going forward. This is going to be a long one, if you have no attention span you can just read the bold letters.

I will talk about:

- Content changes.

- Subscription tiers changes.

- Discord server and commissions.

- Twitter and other platforms.

First, I will start with the thing that might interest you the most, changes in my content going forward. This is relevant for supporters, but specially for non-supporters.

You might have heard about the current landscape NSFW art is in, let alone the situation the kind of art I do has been in for a long time. Card companies trying to censor everything rated +18, governments doing whatever they are doing now, platforms hunting artists, increasing service fees for NSFW creators, etc.

I have been affected by all this in a relatively major way for a long while, from my social media disappearing from one day to another over and over, my books getting taked down by card companies, not being able to even describe my work without being flagged in some way, harassment, etc. I've lasted a long time enduring these things, but if I want to continue making silly art for all of you, this is quickly becoming inviable. So I have decided to change my focus, throw the box away and think from inside a bag instead if you will. What do I mean by this? Well, let's see:

How will my content change?

1. You may know that I'm mostly known for NSFW yuri and l*li. Well, going forward I will be partially removing the "NSFW" part from that description. From now on, my drawings will stay somewhat more on the line of cute/suggestive yuri than NSFW yuri. Wait, so there will be no more NSFW from me? That's not what I said, are you even paying attention? I said partially. Supporters will continue receiving NSFW drawings like normal, if in a bit of a lower quantity. But only supporters. Let me elaborate.

Personally, I despise the concept of completely paywalling a drawing and I've been trying to avoid it as much as possible. But seeing how things are currently, I think it's the only option if I, and you, want to keep having them at all.

From now on I will be refraining from posting some, if not all of my NSFW works publicly, instead keeping them here on Fanbox. Meaning, I will only post the SFW drawings on other social media (Pixiv, Twitter, Bluesky, etc), of which I will be doing more of, of course.

2. I'm apparently also known for l*li, which is not really a surprise. But that is not the only thing I like to draw, from now on I will try to diversify what I draw as well. Of course, the silly cute girls aren't going anywhere, I will continue drawing them on the regular.

3. No more Mihoyo/Hoyoverse content posted publicly. Why? Because not all Genshin fans, but somehow always a Genshin fan. You know what I mean? Everytime I post a drawing with any Hoyo character, the problems I listed above get multiplied by 10. So going forward, I will only post Hoyo content publicly if it's extra safe, or doesn't include any "controversial characters" by Hoyo fans standards. This means that most of the drawings with Hoyo characters will probably remain exclussive to Fanbox.

Does anything happen to the content already posted?

Not for now, next question. To elaborate a bit on this, I already regularly delete posts I am not happy about, so nothing changes here. I will continue doing it as normal. However, no old risky NSFW drawing will be reposted again on any social media from now on.

What is the content I will continue to draw exactly? What's new?

I will continue to draw everything I've been drawing until now, but in lesser quantity, and some of it will become fully paywalled. You can also expect more books/doujins from me.

For what's new, I will be drawing more SFW yuri. I might also return to the content I used to post on my main account (twitter link) if I have time, but I can't promise that. For those unaware, I used to be a fantasy illustrator before getting into all the NSFW thing. Some of you might know this already since I've mentioned it before in multiple occasions, me doing NSFW art and being known for it was kind of an accident, not at all what I intended to do with my art. I sometimes miss drawing things like my older works. Yuri has been present in my works from the beginning, so it won't make that big of a difference for you if I go that route again I guess. Don't take this as a thing that will happen, this is just me rambling.

Now I want to talk about the subscription tiers you can support me with.

For those unaware, Fanbox is increasing service fees from 10% to 12.9% ONLY to NSFW creators starting next month. Link to their post announcing it. This is clearly unfair to us, and yet another thing making our life harder added to the pile. If you just thought something like "it's only a 3% increase, it's not that much", I will let you know that I can eat multiple days with that 3% they will be taking away, so it is that much. A 3% that SFW creators get to keep, by the way.

Because of this, I thought of increasing the tier prices to compensate for the increased fees, but I will not be doing that. It doesn't feel right to increase them without giving you anything in return for the higher price.

To solve this, I will be implementing a new supporting tier with new benefits unique to it! I will make a special announcement when it will go live.

You can expect it sometime next month.

Next, let's talk about the Discord server and by extension, commissions.

A lot of you asked me privately and in the comments of different posts what happened to the Discord server. It has been missing for some months, but I haven't really adressed it until now. What happened is that it has been deleted, for reasons not relevant right now. Do I plan to make another Discord server? Maybe in the future I do. Right now I'm on vacation and don't have time to manage a server, but who knows after. Having a place for the silly orange community again could be nice~

Regarding commissions. The Discord server was the only place where I used to announce when I'm open to orders, but since it doesn't exist anymore some of you have been a bit lost regarding that. I don't have a specific time when I'm open, so feel free to ask whenever you want. Once we have a new server, it will be easier to figure out again.

Twitter.

Since the last time I mentioned Twitter, I have been suspended on maybe 3 different accounts. Will I make yet another account? I already did, here it is: https://x.com/orenjitoastv15

Now, I want to say something to all those who keep suggesting to just move to Baraag, Misskey or any other obscure social media. What happens to a restaurant with no customers? I want you to think very carefully, what happens to an artist on an empty platform? Exactly, there's no future on those platforms. We artists need to go where the audience is, and unfortulately one of the only viable places for that is Twitter.

For the Bluesky enthusiasts out there, I have that too (https://bsky.app/profile/orenjitoast.bsky.social), so stop sugesting it. They're just as bad as Twitter.
