Patron's Choice Poll: A Major DC Guide

Vote for the major DC Comics character guide you want to see the most!

All of these guides are a priority for me, but the top vote-getting guide will be one of the next DC guides I complete - even if it turns out to be incredibly difficult for me 😅. Plus, the winning guide will be available to all Patrons when it is released!

(DC Guides are usually available only to higher Patron levels - like my brand new Guide to Superman (Post-Crisis, 1987 - Present).)

Please vote early and often - you can vote for as many guides as you'd like. This poll closes in seven days. If there is a tie, I will cast the deciding vote.

That's right - no three-way ties like on the last poll (although that result certainly kept me busy the past few months 😂).

The losing guides will almost certainly pop up this year - and, your votes might help me decide on the order I attack them! However, only the winner will be prioritized for release ASAP to all Patrons.

It’s kinda funny to see so much for Martian Manhunter since his history is so tied up in the team books. He’s only had a handful of solo volumes, one shots and mini series outside of the various League books he’s been a part of. Additionally I think Hawkman is a good choice because him and Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman have very convoluted histories that involve numerous books contradicting the previous ones in a vicious cycle. Are they ancient pharaohs, bird people or space cops or ancient bird cops from space? My secret wish is for it to be revealed that Harvey Birdman was just Hawkman reincarnated this entire time.

Whoa, after a week of Hawkman and Supergirl battling it out, Martian Manhunter sneaks into the lead with less than 24 hours left on the poll!!!

Went for Hawkman, his history is one I really want to explore more

Swiftnissity

Tough choice between Hawkman and Supergirl, but ended up voting for Supergirl (at least for the first vote!)

Aaron Smith

True but at least not many collections to refer to. The early stuff is great but I would love to see the ongoing collected. I remember enjoying the Val Semeiks artwork and Alan Grant was brilliant (I don't remember how long he stayed on the title though). Lobo got a dog.

Phil Irving

He's been a favorite of mine since I started DC but his continuity even gives me a headache!!

Nicholas Norris

You'll get to pick up pieces of all kinds of great stories and runs - Death of Superman, the Peter David run, Superman/Batman, New Krypton, all the way to Tom King. Even New 52 Supergirl was decent reading for a B character.

Aaron Apperly

I am very intimidated by figuring out all of the versions of Supergirl, yet those tend to be the most fun guides to figure out!

krisis

You know what you're doing to me, right? 😂 (Secretly I think he is THE COOLEST and I cannot wait to dig into his comics!!!)

krisis

I'm so sorry but I went with Hawkman, lol. Aside from Dr Fate, he's my favorite

Nicholas Norris

Voting Supergirl because I think she has the most interesting history (both publication and character narrative) to read through.

Aaron Apperly

I want to work on his guide so much because i *LOVE* him, but he has so many mini-series and one-shots. It's a little bit boggling!

krisis

The Main Man!
