Putting this Catwoman guide together should have been super easy. She's had one mini-series and four ongoings since 1989 plus Gotham City Sirens (already covered in the Guide to Gotham).

That, like, two hours of work tops, right?

Well, you know me: my motto is "make it harder." It wasn't enough to just knock together a list of collected editions for those series. I also had to list all of Catwoman's many guest-starring turns, plus explain her continuity a bit. 

How did she go from Batman's ally and lover before Crisis back to a vigilante loner for two decades and then back to ally and lover again in Rebirth?!

I understand that better now than I did before and I also appreciate my Catwoman collection a lot more. Catwoman is one of the female characters I decided to go "all-in" on long before ever knowing I'd have a DC section to Crushing Comics. I own every ongoing issue in this guide through New 52, plus a slew of her guest appearances, so working on the guide was a fun chance to break out my short-boxes.

Now, you (and, eventually: everyone else on the internet) will have a much easier time tracking all of that down than I did!

What's up next for comic guides? I'm not sure! There is still that pesky group of lingering solo Marvel guides to wrap up before I feel like I have a clear field to attack guides I've really been looking forward to. I guess it's time to buckle down and finish them.
