The wait is over, it's time for a different type of demon hunting 😁. Since watching the movie we've gotten more and more obsessed with the soundtrack!! But not only that, we loved the story, the writing, and especially the animation! It definitely hooks you in from the beginning.
Also, a special thanks to Abigail who took the time to join us on our reaction today!

They sure used a lot of purple. I found that interesting. And the fact that one of their biggest songs was called “Golden” was also interesting. It all may be a coincidence, but it makes me wonder. I’m sure the movie was way into production before JK’s Golden was announced.

2025-09-26 13:41:54 +0000 UTCI just watched a video on YouTube “Goosebumps Kpop Demon Hunters Drone Show in Korea Singalong” and thought how it combines a popular movie with drones which I think Daniel’s is interested in. It was AMAZING! If you get a chance you should check it out and see how creative they were with the drones. I can’t even imagine how many drones they used for it!

The other voices of songs are actresses/singers. This movie explores VARIOUS modes in the world of kpop like challenger show, lightstick, exaggerated clothes, hair and style, exaggerated dancing like running your hair through your hair, ripped abs, monstrous hair and other things. The voices of each character if you search are from known people. The voice of the monster is done by the frontman actor from round 6. Rumi's voice is made up by the actress of teen Wolf that played "Kira" and other things.

Sony did just very recently go official with the news that Kpop demon hunters will get a sequel :D Hope you check out the lives where Jimin and Jungkook - especially Jungkook - react to the songs of this movie :)

I follow several K-pop groups, and it was amazing to watch this film and see a little bit of each one represented! The film's creators talked about their inspirations for the characters, and of course, BTS was a huge influence. For me, (Baby saja is Yoongi, lol), and combining a girl group with a boy group just gave me everything I needed!

I also like the part jinu and rumi encounter when they play the love maybe from this popular k-drama drama business proposal. Jinu voice actor Ahn Hyo-Seop act as a main male lead. It a romantic comedy k-drama and I know you guys will love it. Please react to it 🙏. I also like the part when rumi sing this is what it sounds like. She strong she fight for herself and all those she love. Also love how jinu sacrifice himself to saved rumi. I truly believe he still alive. He give rumi his soul which turn to a sword to defeat the demon. I like golden the most but all the songs are so good. It on my spotify repeat.

2025-08-28 00:40:20 +0000 UTCbtw the clip at the end, the three girls recording the song are members of twice (one of the biggest kpop groups rn with 9 members in total) and the takedown version in the movie is not them, but it is their version playing when the credits roll, that’s why at the end, it said “twice version”. twice’s song, strategy was played when the girls return to their apartment after the last show. twice’s poster was also featured in the hallway when they were going out to perform at the idol awards! the actual singing voices for the girls of huntrix are; rumi - ejae mira - audrey nuna zoey - rei ami and then from saja boys jinu - andrew choi we don’t hear much singing from the other members of saja boys but i’ll list the singing voices anyway abby - neckwav mystery (eyes covered) - kevin woo baby (googoo gaga) - danny chung romance (long pink hair) - samuil lee they’re super talented, i only knew them from this movie and they deserve the recognition! also, the person that voices the main guy, jinu, was the male lead in a kdrama called business proposal and the song that played when jinu was introduced was an ost from the kdrama so that was a little easter egg lol gwima, the demon king is voiced by lee byunghun, the front man in squid game

I think the actresses who played the characters also sang the songs. I believe the girl who played Rumi was a trainee at a SK label called SM to be an idol for years and I think she didn't debut so she moved back to America and what are the odds, she became an idol through this movie. I enjoyed this movie a lot and actually Zoey reminded me of Abby's personality, so fun, bubbly, caring so I'm glad Abby joined the reaction!💗 I was waiting for Daniel and Summer's reaction to Jinu and Rumi's duet cause omg that is my 2nd favourite song😭

I don’t know how a sequel would work because the story was pretty much well tied up imo but the movie has been going viral for weeks, so I believe Netflix will want to create much more stuff from this universe. Baby Saja was inspired by Jimin for his cuteness, and I think Rumi was inspired by Jennie from Blackpink. I totally see Abby being Zoey haha. I hope you guys can watch BTS reacting to KPDH, Jungkook has especially been a fan ever since, so cute lol! He reacted to it on a recent live.

I hope they continue the original plot and fill in the blanks from the first film (Did Jinu really leave his family knowingly, what happened to his family, how was Rumi's mother deceived by a demon, what is Celine's shame and guilt, etc.) That with more quality music would be perfect

They weren’t the singing voices of the characters but 3 of the members did sing a version of “Takedown” which is showed in the end credits and then at the beginning when the girls go to the tower to start their break and it shows Rumi in the closet with their costumes it plays “Strategy” which is Twice’s song and they also have a remix with Megan Thee Stallion. If you get a chance watch Twice Lollapalooza performance they perform Takedown but also do a drone show kinda paying homage to KPDH at the start of their set that’s really awesome. Glad ya enjoyed it!

It's also about not making your mistakes or the mistakes of others, your entire identity. Face your guilt and shame to overcome it instead of being overcome by it. Also not confusing the truth with the lies that Gwi-ma (Satan) plants in our minds.
