Patreon iOS billing changes

Hi folks!

A far less fun update than usual. Apple is making some changes to its iOS billing which affect new Patreon subscriptions made through the Patreon iOS app after November 4, 2024.

For most of you, this change won't require any action.

However, Apple's changes mean 'purchases, including new memberships and digital goods, made in the Patreon iOS app, are subject to Apple’s 30% App Store fee. The App Store fee does not apply to existing memberships and memberships made on other platforms.'

This only affects subscriptions made after November 4 2024, but if you do cancel and re-subscribe in the future then I'd recommend doing so via another platform (web, android etc.) to avoid this fee!
