'Alana' looked over Louise, the journalist she had been hired to observe and then secure if needs demanded - and demanded they did. Her client did not want that story getting out, and so Victoria had been approached for a job. It was definitely a less than typical extraction. The mercenary was just glad this was a short stint of a job, she hadn't relished fetching coffees for this entire office for the foreseeable future.
"'What's the issue'?" Victoria repeated back at her client. "The issue is that your little concoction didn't do the job."
She rolled her eyes at the response she got back. "Excuse me. I'm the professional here - my tincture knocked her out cold, and you said that if I used the entirety of that vial I'd be able to carry her out in the case you provided..."
More irritating questions...
"No, because I'm looking at her right now and she's not 'still shrinking'. At this rate, I need a damn stroller to get her out of here."
Victoria was barely listening anymore.
"No, just forget it - I'll have to figure something out. I'll reach out when its handled."
The line went dead and the black-clad woman sighed. She definitely wasn't getting paid enough for this.
