Louise looked down at her desk. She knew she was in for the long haul tonight.

The journalist was on the cusp of something big - something huge. The world was going to be shocked by her story, and what was more, it would be her story, which meant her career would likely become just as big.

She had managed to uncover an unprecedented technological and medical advancement - a serum that could actually shrink living things! According to her findings, the process seemed mostly safe as well. However, this private company - and whoever the shady figure was behind it, Louise hadn't been able to discover that... yet - seemed only interested in keeping this secret and selling the concoction to the highest bidder!

Beyond a scandal.

As Louise was ruminating on her story - the final touches of it should be finished tonight - their newest employee, Alana, strode past.

"Hey, new girl. Grab us another coffee would you? I'll be staying back tonight." Louise was chuffed with herself, and her ego was appropriately swollen.

The redhead turned back, every bit the eager new member of the team. "Uh, sure thing! Same order as this morning, yeah?"

Louise just nodded and went back to her ruminating.

Alana grinned broadly, yet the smile faded as she turned away. She wasn't getting paid enough for this...
