A Little Glitch Part 4

The shrinking woman's phone crashed to the floor.

Tina watched as her view of her friend streaked into blurs. "Maisie?!"

Her desperate attempt to hold onto her tumbling underwear, whilst reaching for the phone, during the insane process of shrinking caused the young woman to lose her balance. Her feet were being swallowed up by her boots, and a single misstep caused the girl to shriek and tumble backwards onto the wooden floor.

The phone scattered across the room before coming to rest against a pile of clothes. She watched as her tiny soles came flying off one of her feet, her jumper-dress sagged across her like sack. Her underwear had paid no heed to her clutching attempts and rested idly across the yellow of her shoes. She was positively miniature now! Most children would be taller than the adult woman.

"Maisie! What's happening!?" Her dwindling friend came into focus as she seemed to struggle with her enormous attire.

The tiny woman's words were panicked mutterings as she tried to right herself. She pulled another foot free of her boot as it thunked flat onto the floor. Finally, the shrinking woman pulled herself onto her hands and knees, pathetically crawling across the room to where her phone rested. Her fear was mounting as she felt herself getting smaller...

Tina watched as her formerly short friend, now beyond short, crawled desperately across the room. This was bad! No subject had been made this small yet...

"Tina! I'm going to kill you..." Maisie grumbled through clenched teeth as she finally came to her phone...

It seemed huge now! One hand reached out, but the girl's mind hadn't yet adjusted to her new scale and the device was too cumbersome and heavy with a single hand...

As she clambered to her feet, her sweater rolled down her body, the woman tried to gather it as best she could but it was barely an item of clothing to the shrunken girl now.

Her immediate terror began to subside as Maisie could tell she was no longer getting any smaller...

"A-Are you okay?!" Asked the friend.

"Of course I'm not okay! Your stupid app just shrunk me! I'm like a god damned toddler now, Tina!"

The scientist bit her lip, scratching her head. "This seems like a pretty serious bug..." 

Maisie couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Ya think!?"

Tina went to speak, but the dwindled woman cut her off. "No, no, you get your butt over here right now and fix this, okay?! This is just so typical of you!"

Tina was still moving to her car. "Okay, okay! Oh! Just get your phone to a charger, yeah? The app tanks like half the battery shortly after use."

Maisie looked to the level of charge of her phone...

Tina was just at her car. "Oh! Your address! Where are you house-sitting?! I can-..."

Then, nothing.

Maisie only saw her own reflection staring back at her.  She swore loudly, her little voice echoing in the bedroom.

Trying to calm herself; breathing heavily, she just had to get to her charger. Where did she put it again...

Her face scrunched in frustration, as she recalled the awkwardly high power point she had connected it too, and the similarly high shelf the cord was resting on.

Maisie didn't like today - and it wasn't even noon yet.
