A Little Glitch Part 3

Maisie's panic was rising, just as she felt herself sinking...

"Tina! I... oh shit." The girl felt her jumper inch down her thighs, grazing her knees, her sleeves grew hungrier by the second.

"Maisie?! Answer me!" Urged Tina.

The dwindling girl was only half listening to her friend's question. "Did I what?!"

Tina's grip on her phone tightened. "The link I sent! The app! Did you tell it to you scan your jumper?!"

The brunette's mind was ablaze now. Everything was getting bigger!

No. She was...

"Tina! I'm... your app is shrinking me!"

That was as good an answer as the scientist was going to get. "Okay! Just stay calm!" Her mind was racing through the tests she'd done at work - she had thought the app couldn't trigger at all unless an object was chosen to scan...

"Calm?! I'm...you stay calm!" Maisie said futilely, punctuating her punitive comment with a shriek as she felt her underwear begin to loosen on her hips, her feet were being swallowed up by her seemingly expanding boots. "Tell me how to fix this! Now!"

Tina was sweating. "Okay, uh, um, bring up the app again and there should be a settings icon... like a gear or something in the bottom left corner!"

Maisie tried to ignore the sensation of her phone gaining weight in her hands as her attire transitioned to looking entirely absurd on her.

"I don't see any gear thingy!"

Tina cursed her memory. They had nested the settings in a different menu in the latest update!

"Okay, sorry, not a gear... go to... the hamburger icon!"

"Hamburger icon!?" 

Tina's own temper raised. "The three lines sitting on top of each other!"

Maisie tried to follow the instructions, but her panic hit its peak as her underwear could find no more purchase on her shrinking form, and they slithered down her legs. That, the weight of the phone and the rising stress caused her weakening hands to slip!

Maisie's phone tumbled free. One hand tried and failed to catch her underwear, as another tried to catch the phone but her fingers vanished within the length of the sleeve.
