Aubrey adjusted her glasses and regarded the process. It was fortunate Maggie was barefoot, the sound of her shoes tumbling off might have roused her, but it seemed the college student was a deep sleeper or had just dabbled a little too liberally in her mum's alcohol.
In just a few hungry steps, the girl was looming over her formerly towering babysitter. Despite the sound of the television, the dark-haired girl felt they were the only two people in the world. Just a dwindling thing that reflected Aubrey's swelling genius.
"Stayed up past your bedtime. Someone should carry you to bed..." Aubrey whispered, her smug grin creasing her face.
She shrugged inwardly - she didn't much care where the bossy woman slept.
Aubrey almost forgot about her beloved marathon as Maggie's womanly form gradually vanished beneath the weight of her loosening outfit. It had gone from a stunning look, to a few sizes too big, to a far more modest fit but was now entering an absurd appearance - like the woman was playing dress up in some adult's clothes.
As the woman's hands begin to creep inside the cavernous sleeves, like some fearful creature fleeing from the big bad Aubrey, she bent down and took the tiny woman's toes into a gentle grip.
"Just an itty bitty thing. I think this piggy is a bit too small to go the market though..." Her voice hushed, proud of her villainous prattling.
Aubrey grinned. Maggie was nearly done dwindling, and her marathon was about to start.
Perfect timing.
