Riddles in the Attic Part 2

Jenna's eyes darted as the house shuddered, as though it was incensed by her answer.

"What the hell was that..."

No response was forthcoming, save for a burst of light and energy that erupted around the would-be thief. The woman shrieked, as what could only be described as magical energy swarmed around her. Jenna's sensations were wracked, and it felt as though she was being dragged deeper, like she was sinking into a whirlpool.

Then, the shocking light show seemed to blink out of existence, gone as quickly as it had come. However, Jenna quickly realized that whatever that was had been more than a dazzling display.

She watched the window before her begin to rise to her eyeline rapidly, before she could react she felt a growing weight in her hands. The torch! It was bigger - and still expanding!

The woman's face turned from confusion to panic as the short stool before her looked like she something she would need to clamber onto. This was all happening so fast! Jenna took in her shifting surroundings, the entire world was growing around her. The torch was suddenly too heavy to hold, and in a moment her hands couldn't even hold it!

Either everything was growing... or Jenna was shrinking!

Jenna couldn't comprehend any of this, and her flight response kicked in as she decided she had to escape this house! 

Her still shrinking body turned and then she felt her right foot become stuck on something, then her left suffered the same! In frustration she looked down and saw the her legs weren't trapped in anything! They were just... stiff! It took all her might get them to budge at all!

She roared in frustration, without noticing one of her hands rising up unbidden. Her legs now weren't responding at all, in fact they were moving on their own, dragging themselves to a new position!

Jenna saw her other arm grow stiff and begin reposing itself - it was like some unseen strings were puppeting the shrinking woman!

Jenna's panic begin to rise, she was still shrinking and now her entire body was becoming unresponsive! It took all her strength to get a single finger to move, staring at it, trying to will her figure to respond in any way! As if in response to that futile effort, the woman's eyes then were dragged away and staring dead ahead. The woman's mouth twitched as she screamed in anger, yet the protest was muffled behind a now shut mouth.

Jenna was frozen - utterly paralyzed, her body forced into some pose that she couldn't even see. What was more, she was now a fraction of the size...

The thief felt a growing numbness across her body and her mind, and yet simultaneously her body felt aflame with a strange sensation. Her senses were being subsumed as something else was happening to her...

The magic wasn't finished with her yet, and Jenna could only stand there, frozen.
