It's a Steal Part 1

Mira groaned. "Are you going to help me or not, Maisie?"

The shorter, more modest woman circled the redhead. Mira wasn't hugely tall herself, but compared to Maisie - just shy of five feet - almost everyone was hugely tall.

"I suppose I could." The words slipped from the brunette, her cropped hair adding to her impish demeanour.

Mira was getting impatient. She had had plans tonight to meet with a potential business partner, but they were now in question after another streamer had recently gone viral. The redhead wasn't going to let an opportunity like this be so easily lost.

Which meant that Mira was desperate - desperate enough to reach out to an old acquaintance, about whom there had been rumors for years. Rumors that she dabbled in actual magic; spells, hexes and the like. Mira generally didn't believe in such things, but well... she was desperate.

Maisie's voice filled the room once more. "So, you want this business deal to be yours. Correct?"

Mira nodded, she felt like the shorter woman was sizing her up and it made her uncomfortable.

"There will be a cost." Maisie continued. "Thats not a small thing you're asking for..."

The redhead swallowed. This was what she was anxious about. She had grown up on enough fantasy stories to know that deals with witches, hags, spirits and whatnot always asked a high price...

"Fine. What is it...?" Came the streamer's voice, more trepaditious now.

Maisie paused, intentionally letting the tension build.

"I want..." A smirk crept upon her face.  "To borrow that dress, what you're wearing. For a month... maybe more."

Mira's brow furrowed. That was it? She almost snickered. "Wait, really?"

Maisie stepped past her. "Do we have a deal?"

The redhead couldn't believe her luck, yet the request begged the question. "I mean, yes! I just... well, it's not exactly... your size." She said, quietly delighted in herself and barely suppressing a grin.

Maisie giggled. "That won't be a problem."

Mira couldn't believe her luck. If this woman was actually capable of pulling this off, then this was beyond a bargain!
