It's been just over forty-eight hours since my friend, Amy D. (ref: subject 0001), volunteered to be subjected to a session in our matter compression chamber. Her recent redundancy from her occupation (see earlier log for details pertaining to subject 0001) had been weighing on her mind, which is why I recommended the trial we were starting as it came with generous financial compensation. Restoration to her original size shouldn't prove to be difficult, however, the reduction was more significant than originally estimated. 

75% more significant, to be exact.

The cause of her enhanced reduction is being investigated, and any further human trials are indefinitely paused until a root cause can be deduced.

Suffice to say, she was less than pleased with the results. Her emotional state only increased when it was explained that the chamber needs at least 24 hours before any compression or restoration can begin again. Otherwise, there is a high risk of matter dissolution - once this was explained, Amy's temper began to level out.

This outcome has unfortunately rendered previous preparations for her time at a smaller size untenable. She currently lives alone which was a non-starter given her new stature. As such, a compromise was for her to live at my home for the stretch of time. Whilst uncomfortable for her, this did allow for first hand observations as opposed to the self-recorded testimonials that had been the previously agreed upon approach

Clothing options for Amy will prove difficult given her scale has been reduced, not simply her height. She has expressed that she doesn't wish to be wearing the same t shirt and shorts for the next six days. 

Regarding my observations, Amy has seemed more skittish than would be considered normal for her. A certain level of this is to be expected, but the increase may be a result of the chamber's effects - unclear at this time.

In fact, I can hear her currently approaching the table as I'm writing this. 

Curious.

I allowed her close, pretending not to notice her, only to cross my legs and intentionally let a shoe drop to the floor. She seemed beyond what would be considered a normal level of startled and seemed less willing to hold eye contact as well.

Whilst it is perhaps less sensitive for me to employ such tactics to catalogue reactions, I admit I am also cognizant of the fact that I have history in the making in my very home. Surely Amy will understand if there are a few hoops for her to jump through in the name of science and discovery.
